1.Prepare yourself To prepare yourself for ritual you need to rid your self of any negative energy why not have a  bath , just put some salt in your bathwater and think about what you will be doing in your ritual , or you can stand outdoors in the wind and let the elements take any bad vibes away , you can play a drum , or simply sit quietly and ask the goddess to put your mind in the correct place

2. Prepare your space , try to hold your Beltaine Ritual out of doors if possable . Prepare your Altar, here is a photo of ours to guide you. The Goddess side is on the left and the god side is to the right. In the middle we have a triple moon symbol , a cauldren and our incense burner .Light your incense light the candles

3.Casting The Circle .Use visualization to create a circle , Starting at the  North ,use your knife to send energy out. You can walk around the circle , holding your knife out, or if your circle is very small , stand outside it and create a glowing circle of energy with your imagination .When the circles cast you can recite these or similar words,

"Here at last

Our circles cast

In light upon the ground

We call upon you elements

Support our magic round

God and Goddess Bless our rites

 and guide us through this magic night

I call you now attend to me

this is our will so mote it be "

Then call the quarters

" Spirits of the North

Elements of Earth
